For a long time, the number 13 has been associated with bad luck. For the Tigers however, the number is a positive number. All-time in the program's history, the Tigers are 28-15 in their 13th match of the season, dating back to the 1976 campaign. In the Tigers' CAA Era (2002), Towson is 13-4 in its 13th match of the season. Under head coach Don Metil, Towson is a perfect 6-0 in the 13th match of the year.
