NEW YORK- School records, ECAC qualifying times and first place finishes highlighted the evening for the Towson University indoor track and field team Sunday evening at the Towson Tiger Invitational.
How it Happened
- After qualifying in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash, Crystal Johnson finished in first with a time of 7.59. Shamika Burton (7.72), Christina Riggins (7.75) and Adia Cavalier (7.99) rounded out the top four.
- Towson also had the top three performers in the 60-meter hurdles with Helnsarah Penda (8.84) followed by Victoria Jones-Alleyne (8.92) and Asia Chen (9.21).
- It was a 1-2 finish in the 1 mile as Kylie Anicic crossed the line first with a time of 5:13.41 and close behind was McKenzie Delahanty with a time of 5:14.84.
- Paige Keefer took second in the 500-meter dash (1:18.23).
- Siani Sellers captured first in the 400-meter dash (59.20).
- Alison Betler saw a second place finish in the 1000-meter (3:09.62).
- The Tigers also saw the top three finishes in the 200 meter dash with Johnson (24.83), Riggins (25.84) and Penda (26.07).
- Nicole Bezborodko was second in the 3000-meter run (11:17.71).
- The 4X400 meter relay came in first with a time of 4:03.85.
- Kelsey Evans jumped a personal best, 5.90 (19'04") in the long jump.
- Cavalier had another school record and a new personal best in the triple jump, (12.29m 40'30").
- Ani Boghossian-James finished second in the high jump (1.65m, 5'05").
- The pole vaulters all had the top three finishes. Hayley Horvath led the way finishing in first (4.02m).
- Lauren Coleman won the shot put (15.05m).
- Elisia Lancaster won the weight throw (18.69m) and improved her ECAC qualifying mark.
- Erin Hatcher qualified for ECAC's in the weight throw after throwing 16.56m.

 The Tigers are back in action Friday, Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at Penn State National, hosted by Penn State. The meet will take place in Ashenfelter Indoor Track located in State College, Pennsylvania.
