TOWSON, Md. – Announced by head coach Mike Jackson, Gabriella Gaudreault has been named as the assistant coach for the Towson University women's track and field team.
Gaudreault joins the Tiger family after spending time at University of Louisiana Monroe.
"It is an honor to have coach Gaudreault on staff here at TU," said Jackson. "In addition to being an outstanding coach, she brings enthusiasm and positivity, which is much-needed for our distance runners and overall team. She sets a great example for our athletes to emulate, and will make an immediate impact".
"I am very excited to be joining the Cross Country and Track & Field program here at Towson," said Gaudreault. "Coach Jackson has done an incredible job leading and developing this program, and I am honored to have the opportunity to coach these young women amongst this staff."

At ULM, Gaudreault was the assistant coach for distance and cross country. She helped three student-athletes Vincent Mitei, Eric Hawkins and Benadine Chelimo improve their times in the 8,000 and 6,000. Mitei improved his time by 43 seconds from 26:26 to 25:43 in one season. Hawkins had a person best in the 8K and improved his time by 29 seconds. Chelimo also set a personal-best for 6K running, 21:48. In addition, Gaudreault designed all strength training for the distance squad, handled recruiting, and oversaw nutrition and wellness for the track and field program.
Before ULM, Gaudreault was an assistant coach for cross country and track and field at Campbell University during the 2018-19 season. She led Roshae Jackson to a conference title in the 800 meter run at the 2019 Big South Indoor Track & Field Conference Championship, and multiple All-Conference honors in the mile and 1500m. Jackson was also named to the Big South All-Academic Team for Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track & Field. Gaudreault also assisted with the men's team, and helped the team to win Big South Cross Country Championships for the fourth year in a row. During the track season, the men's team finished runner-up in both the indoor and outdoor championship meet.
Prior to Campbell, Gaudreault was the graduate assistant for Clemson University Cross Country & Track and Field in 2017, assisting with the men's and women's middle distance runners. She also served as an intern strength and conditioning coach with the Olympic Sports department and worked primarily with cross country and track & field from May to November 2015.
Gaudreault's extensive background in strength and conditioning led her to her role as the women's volleyball strength and conditioning coach at American International College in 2014-15. Prior to AIC, she had served several strength and conditioning internships at the collegiate and private sector levels.
A native of Leominster, Mass., Gaudreault was a two-time NCAA All-American in the 800 meters for Springfield College (MA). She was a 3 year competitor for the Pride's cross country team as well. Gaudreault received her Bachelor's Degree in applied exercise science in 2014, and holds certifications through the NSCA (CSCS), USTFCCCA (Track and Field Technical Certification), and Precision Nutrition (Level 1 Sport and Exercise Nutritionist).
