TOWSON, Md. – The challenge is on! The Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge is underway. This year the Towson University women's basketball team is facing off against its Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) members to raise the most money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Until the end of February teams are securing pledges, earning donations for every free throw made during game played in the month of February. This is a national challenge that the CAA, and its member teams for women's basketball, are participating in.
Towson is competing against other teams across the country to see who can raise the most money to support those battling cancer. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund's mission is to extend and improve the lives of those who are battling cancer by raising money for research and assisting the underserved.
