TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team makes it annual trek to James Madison for a prime-time showdown. It will be Towson's final contest at the Convocation Center. The Dukes move into their new Bank Union Arena next season.

Currently in fifth place, a half-game behind William & Mary and the College of Charleston for third place in the congested Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) standings, the Tigers are focused as they are begin their final charge of the regular season.

Towson has put itself in a position to accomplish all of its goals and play meaningful games in late February through its toughness, talent and teamwork. Towson has improved by 8.0 games from a season ago, with
Pat Skerry's team tied for the 18th-best improvement in the country.

- The Tigers defeated Regent 71-55 Wednesday night behind Nakye Sanders (18 points, seven rebounds) and Jakigh Dottin (career best 14 points).
- Brian Fobbs leads the Tigers in scoring (15.9 points per game).
- Fobbs has scored in double figures in 11 consecutive contests against Division I opponents.
- Fobbs scored 21 points against the Dukes on Jan. 18, a 69-61 Towson victory.
- Allen Betrand is 11th in the CAA in scoring (14.6).
- In his last CAA contest against Drexel last week, Betrand scored a career best 31 points.
- In six CAA road games, Betrand is averaging 19.2 points on 52.7 percent shooting.
- Betrand is also 25-for-27 shooting from the foul line in CAA road games.

- The Dukes dropped a tough 80-78 decision to Delaware last Saturday.
- Deshon Parker has scored 23 points each in the Dukes' last two games.
- Matt Lewis is one of two players in the top 15 of the CAA in points, rebounds and assists.
- JMU is playing at the 7th-fastest pace (74.4) in the country, per KenPom.
- The Dukes have not played quicker than 67.9 possessions per game under Lou Rowe.
- Darius Banks joined JMU's 1,000-point club on Feb. 1.
- Banks scored 22 of his game-high 27 points in the second half against the Tigers in the first meeting on Jan. 18.
