BOSTON, Mass. – The Towson University indoor track and field team dominated the east coast in two separate meets this weekend.
Some of the Tigers competed in the Boston University Valentine Invitational, while some of the Tigers competed in the Don Kirby Invitational, hosted by New Mexico.

- It was also a 1-2 punch in the shot put, when Lauren Coleman broke her own record with a throw of 16.75m. Michella Obijiaku had a personal record with her throw of 16.30
- Obijiaku also finished second in the weight throw (20.47m 67-2) with a new school record. Coleman came in sixth throwing 19.63m (63-5).
- Shamika Burton had a personal record in the 60-meter with a time of 7.48.
- Hayley Horvath placed 12th in the pole vault (3.86m 12-8).
Key Notes-Under 30 NCAA Rankings
- Lauren Coleman's throw of 16.75m (54'11.5") ranks her 14th in the NCAA in the shot put. Obijiaku is ranked at 22nd with her 16.30m (53'11.75").
- Obijiaku is also ranked 27th in the weight throw 20.47m (67'2").
