UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Towson University gymnastics team had a third place finish Saturday afternoon scoring 193.750 in a quad meet hosted by No. 23 Penn State.
Inside Rec Hall, the Tigers had running scores of 48.575 on vault finishing in second in the event, 48.300 coming in third on bars, 48.700 to finish third on beam and tied with Cornell with a 48.175 on floor.
No. 23 Penn State won the whole event with a final score of 196.575, NC State finished in second with a 195.850 and Cornell finished with a 190.750.
How it Happened
- Camille Vitoff led the way on vault tying for third-place with a new season-high score of 9.8250. Kyla Gamble tied for fifth and tying her season-high scoring a 9.8. Lauren Bolen finished with a new season-high score of 9.7750 tying for seventh.
- Ally Wesoly finished with a new season-high of 9.775 on the uneven bars.
- Emerson Hurst tied for fifth on beam with the highest team score after earning a 9.8500. Wesoly had a top ten finish scoring a 9.8 and tying for ninth place. Jenna Weitz tied her season-high with a score of 9.750.
- Amy Stewart, Nikki Borkowski and Paige Casper all tied with a 9.675 on floor.
- Wesoly finished with a 38.750 in the all-around.
