TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University gymnastics team is hosting its annual pink meet when they face EAGL foe University of North Carolina in a dual-meet on Friday, Feb. 7 in SECU Arena .
The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening an hour prior to the meet.

Marketing Promotions/Tickets
The theme for this meet is Pink Meet. This year, the Tigers have partnered with the Johns Hopkins Children Center, with all proceeds from the meet going towards that charity. Fans are asked to wear pink as they come out and support the Tigers.
During the meet fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy a coloring station and take photos with the gymnastics cutouts on the concourse. After the meet, there will be a chance to get autographs by the Tigers.

• Friday, March 6 vs. George Washington and Maryland (George McGinty Alumni Meet)
• Sunday, March 15 vs Southern Connecticut (Senior Day)

Last Time Out
Towson had two Tigers finish with season-highs in their perspective events against UNH last Saturday.
The Tigers scored 48.650 on vault, 48.325 on bars, 47.200 on floor and 48.000 on beam to end with a final score of 192.175. The Wildcats finished with a final score of 195.125.
Kyla Gamble tied her career-high with a season-high 9.800 on vault to finish second.
Leah Smith had a season-high 9.775 coming in third with her floor routine.
Amy Stewart scored 9.725 on bars coming in second place.
Scouting the Tar Heels
UNC fell to NC State 196.250-193.375 on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Reynolds Coliseum. Freshman Elizabeth Culton earned the team-leading score with 9.825 on bars. On vault, seniors Khazia Hislop earned a season-high first-place score of 9.900 and Mikayla Robinson scored a 9.875.
On floor, the Tar Heels earned a team score of 49.125 and posted a solid 48.450 on balance beam.
Conference Rankings
- Ally Wesoly is ranked second in conference in the all-around with an average and high score of 38.925. She is also ranked 25th on vault (9.688 avg., 9.750 high), ninth on bars (9.731 avg., 9.800 high) and tied 19th on floor (9.725 avg., 9.725).
- Lauren Bolen is ranked fifth in the all-around with an average score of 38.608 and high score of 38.825. She is ranked 22nd on vault (9.706 avg., 9.750 high).
- Amy Stewart is ranked seventh on bars with an average score of 9.750 and a 9.825 high.
- Emerson Hurst is ranked 14th on beam with an average score of 9.730 and a high of 9.800. She is ranked 21st on vault (9.712 avg., 9.775).
- Tess Zientek is ranked 12th on bars with an average score of 9.719 and a 9.775 high.
- Nikki Borkowski is ranked 20th on vault with an average score of 9.713 and a 9.750 high.
- Camille Vitoff is ranked 19th on vault with an average score of 9.717 and high of 9.750. She is also ranked 24th on bars with an average score of 9.631 and a high score of 9.800.
- Paige Casper is ranked 23rd on floor (9.713 avg., 9.775 high).
- Kyla Gamble is ranked 14th on vault (9.738 avg., 9.800 high) and 21st on bars with an average and high score of 9.650.
Tigers in the Community
The Towson University athletics department deems community service as one of its highest priorities to give back to the Greater Baltimore area.
- For the 7th consecutive year, the department exceeded 10,000 hours of community service to the Greater Baltimore region, finishing with 11,162 hours of community service in the 2018-19 academic season.
- Towson ranked #1 nationally for community service and won the 2018 National Championship for Community Service through the Helper Helper NCAA Team Works Competition.
- Towson had a 97% participation rate, attended 118 community service opportunities and volunteered with 19 organizations.
- Towson won the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award from Susan G. Komen of Maryland.
