TOWSON, Md. The Towson University softball team continued its winning streak after defeating Iona 3-0 Saturday afternoon inside the Towson Softball Stadium during the DeMarini Tiger Clash.

How it Happened

• Towson got on board first in the bottom of the fifth after Sara Johnson singled to left field scoring Chloe Poulich and Lauren Ringhiser.
• The Tigers sealed the deal in the bottom of the sixth after a single by Ringhiser scored Julia Smith-Harrington.
• Sara Johnson finished the game for the Tigers only allowing one hit in the top seventh.

Inside the Numbers

• Johnson pitched her first shut out of the season, allowing only four hits and had 10 strikeouts.
• With the win, Johnson improves to 2-3 on the season.
• Three Tigers led the team with two hits apiece.
