Women’s Gymnastics Announces 2022 Schedule

TOWSON, Md. -- Fresh off the team's first trip to NCAA Regionals in over two decades, the Towson University women's gymnastics program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.

The Tigers will host six competition dates at SECU Arena this winter, including two quad meets and two tri-meets.

Towson unofficially kicks off the season on Dec. 10 with an intersquad meet before the conclusion of the fall semester.

The 2022 season officially gets underway on Jan. 9 with a trip to Durham, New Hampshire for a dual meet with University of New Hampshire at 2 p.m.

Towson opens SECU Arena on Jan. 14 with a quad meet, welcoming William & Mary, West Chester University and West Virginia University to town for a 6 p.m. event.

The remainder of January sees Towson on the road, first with a stop at N.C. State on Jan. 22 at 4 p.m., followed by a second trip to the Piedmont on Jan. 28 for a tri-meet at University of North Carolina with University of Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.

February belongs to the homesteading Tigers as Towson leads off the month on Feb. 2 with a tri-meet against George Washington and William & Mary at SECU Arena for a 6 p.m. start. Two days later, the Tigers host a quad with Temple, LIU and Eastern Michigan at 6 p.m.

A week later, Towson will host a dual meet against University of Pennsylvania on Feb. 13 at 2 p.m., followed by a Feb. 19 meet against Ursinus College at 6 p.m.

Towson's next three competitions will be on the road, with back-to-back duals at Utah State on Feb. 25 and Feb. 27. The former will begin at 7 p.m. EST and the latter at 3 p.m. EST in Logan, Utah.

The Tigers' final road dual of the year sends the Tigers to Pittsburgh for a March 6 showdown at Pitt with a 2 p.m. start.

Towson's final event of the regular season is set for March 11 against George Washington and University of Maryland, slated for a 6 p.m. start.

On March 19, Towson heads to the nation's capital for the 2022 EAGL Championships, hosted by George Washington. A final time for the championships has not been set.

April means the postseason for NCAA Gymnastics. NCAA Regionals are set for April 2 at campus sites while the NCAA National Championship Meet is set for April 14-16 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
