TOWSON, Md. — Towson Athletics and the Tiger Athletic Fund unveiled the women's basketball team suite, named in recognition for the contributions received by CSM (Ret) Thomas B. Beyard, Maryland National Guard, Towson Class of 1977 on Saturday, Oct. 16. Beyard has been a loyal supporter of Towson University and its student-athletes since 2015.
"The impact Tom has had on our program is second to none," said Towson Women's Basketball head coach
Diane Richardson. "Our team not only recognizes him as a fan, but also as an investor in their success here at Towson and beyond."
The unveiling took place on the first floor of the Towson Center. An intimate group of approximately 25 people attended the ceremony and champagne toast to commemorated the recognition.

The festivities continued with the homecoming tailgate in Lot 8 outside the Towson Center, and a football game afterward against Rhode Island. Towson won the contest, 28-7, for its third win of the season.
The women's basketball team opens their season on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. against Frostburg State.
