TOWSON, Md. — After a successful 2021 season, Ainsley Jacobs has been selected as an All-CAA honoree. The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) made the announcement Thursday afternoon.
"Ainsley has done an outstanding job here and has led this team on and off the course," head coach Mike Jackson said. "She is very deserving of this honor and I'm excited about what the future holds!"
Jacobs' season was highlighted by two individual first place finishes at the Towson Invitational and Towson Alumni Invitational. She also led the Tigers to team victories in both races. Through six races, the Fairfax, Virginia native averaged a 6k time of 21:16.7.
The graduate transfer went on to capture five total top-15 solo finishes in the fall, placing sixth at the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational, fourth at the Paul Short Run and 11th at the CAA Championships.
Jacobs set a new personal-best at the Towson Invitational, running the 4k in a time of 14:35.6. Her best 6k time of the season was set at Paul Short, when she tracked the Goodman Stadium Course in 21:16.7.
