BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Tying a season-high score of 196.150, the Towson University gymnastics team captured first place Friday night in a tri-meet against LIU and UNH.
Inside Pratt Recreation Center, the Tigers had running scores of 49.250 (vault), 49.100 (bars), 48.850 (beam) and 48.950 on floor to lead them to the overall winning score. UNH finished in second scoring 195.300 and LIU scored 190.450.
The last time Towson defeated UNH was in 2004 with a 193.475-193.350.
How it Happened
- The Tigers opened the night on bars with Allison Zuhlke scoring a career-high 9.9 and tying for first place. Amy Stewart also scored a season-high score of 9.875 finishing in third, and Camille Vitoff scored a season-high 9.850.
- The second rotation for Towson was beam were Emerson Hurst led the way scoring a 9.850 finishing in second place. Zuhlke scored a season-high 9.825 coming in third and Jenna Weitz scored a 9.8.
- Up next for the Tigers was floor and Amy Stewart led the way finishing in second place scoring a 9.825. Lauren Bolen and Weitz tied for third scoring a 9.8.
- The Tigers saw a 1-2-3 finish on vault with Vitoff scoring a career-high score 9.9. Weitz also scored a career-high score of 9.875 and Borkowski tied her season-high score of 9.850.
- Bolen finished in first place in the all-around with a new season-high score of 39.125. Vitoff came in second scoring a 38.375.

"I am in awe of these athletes and everything that they are striving for," said Ramirez. "We didn't have a perfect meet, but they depended on each other to pick up the slack. The result: top 10 highest team score in Towson history and highest team vault score in Towson history."

The Tigers will stay in Brookville, New York for a quad meet against LIU, UNH and Pitt on Sunday, February 28. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. inside the Pratt Recreation Center.
