TOWSON, Md. – A prideful Friday night took place for the Towson University gymnastics team as it hosted Temple in a dual meet inside SECU Arena.
The Tigers had running scores of 48.875 (vault), 48.300 (bars), 49.050 (beam) and 49.175 (floor) to finish with a final score of195.400. The Tigers saw first-place individual finishes on vault, bars, beam and floor for the second straight meet.
The Temple Owls finished the meet with a 195.925.
How it Happened
• The Tigers opened the night on vault and
Camille Vitoff led theway with a 9.875 coming in first place.
• Vitoff kept things rolling on bars, finishing with a score of 9.850to tie for first place.
• The third rotation for the Tigers was beam. Beam queen
Emerson Hurst led the way with a 9.9, finishing in first place. Vitoff came in second with a score of 9.850 and
Jenna Weitz came in third with a 9.825.
• Final rotation for the Tigers was floor and
Nikki Borkowski led the way with a 9.875 finishing in first place.
Lauren Bolen finished in third with a 9.850.
• Bolen scored a 39.000 in the all-around.

Other Notes
Today was originally scheduled for a tri-meet. George Washington withdrew out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19 concerns within its program.

The Tigers will honor their two seniors, Kyla Gamble and Tess Zientek, on Senior Day as they host George Washington, Temple and UNH for a quad meet on Sunday, March 14. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. inside SECU Arena.
