Towson Concludes Day One of the Bill Webb Multi/ Bob Davidson Invite

HIGH POINT, N.C. The Towson University track and field team competed in four events to complete day one of the Bill Webb Multi/ Bob Davidson Invite Friday afternoon.

Towson is in third place after four events were scored.

 How it Happened 
  • Georgia Coleman finished in second place in the hammer throw with a mark of 69.41m (personal-best) earning eight points, while sister Lauren Coleman came in third with a 55.58m mark scoring six points.
  • Samantha Ronald finished with a mark of 3.35 in the pole vault.
  • Kayla Thorpe finished in third place in the javelin with a 42.47m earning six points for the Tigers. Samira Van Der Lann finished in fifth with a 37.51m mark.
  • Deborah Gnoumou came in third place in the 200m dash heptahlon with a time of 26.75. Ani Boghossian-James finished in with a time of 27.20.
  • Gnoumou captured first in the 100m hurdles heptahlon with a time of 14.81 and Boghossian-James came in third with a time of 15.21.
  • Boghossian-James also came in third in the high jump heptahlon with a mark of 1.54m and fifth in the shot put. (9.49m). She also tied for third in the heptahlon with a time of 26.71.
