HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Towson University track and field team wrapped up the weekend at the Bill Webb Multi/Bob Davidson Invite in Vert Stadium.
The Tigers saw a new school record in the pole vault by
Hayley Horvath, two season best, six personal-best and two collegiate best.
How it Happened
- Deborah Gnoumou captured a first-place victory with a personal-best time of 14.81.
- Crystal Johnson finished in third place in the 100m dash with a season-best time of 11.86.
- Sydney Tucker (24.76) and Shamika Burton (24.91) each had a collegiate-best time in the 200m, respectively.
- Tiyuana Evans had a personal-best in the 400m with a time of 58.72.
- Ariana Poteat had a personal-best in 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:06.71.
- Horvath set the outdoor school record in the pole vault with a mark of 4.13m.
- Lauren Coleman finished first with a season best mark of 15.78m in the shot put. Kayla Thorpe had a personal-best mark of 13.67m to finish in sixth.
- Fatimah Owen scored a personal-best in the discus (40.87m) coming in sixth.
- Liana Wilkinson had a personal-best time of 2:28.96 in the heptathlon coming in second place.
- Christina Marion finished in third place in the long jump heptathlon with a mark of 5.00m.
