Towson Tennis Drops a Heartbreaker to George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Towson tennis team dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to George Mason on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers and Patriots each won three singles matches, but Mason won two of the three doubles matches to earn the deciding point.

Towson's top doubles duo of Themis Haliou and Alexa Martinez started the match off in fine fashion, beating Mason's No. 1 team 6-1 to improve to 5-6 as a team. However, the Patriots earned the other two matches for the point.
