BOX SCORE TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team came from behind to defeat Morgan State Wednesday afternoon in the Tiger Softball Stadium.
Morgan State (13-10, 10-2 MEAC) was up to 2-0 before the Tigers (11-12, 0-6 CAA) came back in the bottom of the sixth to take a 5-2 lead.
Game two of the scheduled contest was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Tigers had three doubles back-to back- by
Chloe Poulich,
Lauren Ringhiser and
Jess DaBreo to help the Tigers take the commanding lead in the bottom of the sixth.
How it Happened
- The Bears took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first after a two-run RBI by Haylee Bobos.
- The Tigers answered back in the bottom of the sixth after Poulich hit a two-run double to center field.
- Then, Ringhiser hit a RBI double to left field and DaBreo hit a RBI double to left field to give Towson a 4-2 lead.
- Rylee Penrod hit a single to center field scoring DaBreo giving the Tigers the 5-2 lead.
- Melissa Abrahamian got the final out for the Tigers on a fly-out to center field.
