HARRISONBURG, Va. – New school records and six first-place finishes highlighted the day for the Towson University women's track and field team as they wrapped up day two of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championships Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers finished in second place with 174 points inside Sentara Park, the highest for a Towson program. Elon won the meet with 191.5, Delaware finished in third and Northeastern came in fourth.

Asia Chen and the 4x100m relay all had first place victories.
Coleman became the first CAA athlete to claim three women's shot put titles after winning the event with a throw of 16.11m (52-10.25). She previously won the crown back-to-back years in 2017 and 2018 and Towson has now claimed the last four titles in the event.
How it Happened
- It was a 1-2 finish in the 100m dash with Johnson (11.75) and Christina Riggins, respectively. Johnson claimed her second consecutive title winning the event.
- Johnson also won the 200m dash with a time of 23.93. Shamika Burton finished fourth (24.65) and Sydney Tucker finished sixth (24.69).
- Satori Valentine finished in fourth in the 400m dash (56.01).
- Paige Keefer came in eighth in the 800m run (2:15.09).
- The Tigers went 3-4-5 in the 100m hurdles with Chen (14.40), Deborah Gnoumou (14.52) and Tajah Martin-Palmer (14.65).
- Chen won the 400m hurdles with a new school record time of 1:00.78.
- The 4x100m relay team comprised of Riggins, Tucker, Burton and Johnson captured first with a time of 45.57.
- The 4x400m relay team comprised of Deandra Francois, Valentine, Chen and Keefer ran a time of 3:52.56 to come in sixth place.
- Riggins finished in eighth in the high jump (1.60m).
- Horvath set a new school record, CAA record, and stadium record finishing in first-place with a jump of 4.27m. Samantha Ronald finished in sixth (3.70m).
- It was a 1-2 finish in the shot put with Coleman (16.11m) and Kayla Thorpe (14.23m).
- Fatimah Owens finished in fifth in the discus throw (42.69m).
- Georgia Coleman came in third place in the hammer (53.21m) and Lauren Coleman came in fourth (52.77m).
- Gnoumou placed second in the heptathlon with 4,446 points.
