SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Towson University track and field team completed day one of the ECAC championships on the campus of AIC in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After three events scored, Towson is in first place with 25 points.
Hayley Horvath won the pole vault and
Georgia Coleman had a huge personal-record in the hammer throw to highlight the day.
How it Happened
- Hayley Horvath won the pole vault with a 4.06m mark.
- Georgia Coleman finished in fourth place in the hammer throw with a personal-record toss of 58.34m. The mark puts her at 48 in the East Region. Sister Lauren Coleman finished in fifth (57.21m).
- Kayla Thorpe came in third in the javelin with a toss of 46.16m
- Deborah Gnoumou represented the Tigers in the heptathlon with a fourth-place finish in the 100m hurdles (15.08).

The Tigers will compete tomorrow, May 15 in day two events at the ECAC championships which include the long jump, shot put, heptathlon, 4x100m relay, 1500m, 100m hurdle trials and 100m trials on the campus of AIC.
