SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – Day two of the ECAC championships was highlighted by Lauren Coleman from the Towson University track and field team who captured first place in the shot put.

All events took place on the campus of AIC. The Tigers are currently in third place with 40 points.

How it Happened

• Lauren Coleman won the shot put (15.44m).
• Kayla Thorpe finished in ninth (13.39m) in the shot put.
• Sydney Tucker qualified for the 100m dash finals after finishing fourth with a time of 12.03.
• Asia Chen qualified for the 100m hurdles after running a time of 14.56.
• Alison Betler ran a time of 4:47.83 in the 1500m run.
• The 4x100 team came in fourth with a time 47.69.
• Adia Cavalier jumped 5.49m and Christina Marion jumped 5.43m in the long jump.

The Tigers will conclude the ECAC championships tomorrow, May 16 at AIC. Events include the discus, triple jump, 100m hurdle finals, 100m finals, 400m hurdles, 200m, 4x800m and 4x400m.
