TOWSON, Md. — Head coach Mike Jackson and the Towson University women's cross country team has announced its upcoming 2021 fall schedule.
After not seeing any action during the fall of 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the team will end a 659-day streak of no competition by hosting the Towson Invitational at the Baltimore Country Agricultural Center in Cockeysville, Maryland (Sept. 4). The meet will begin at 10 a.m.
From there, the Tigers will travel to the Hanover Country Club in New Hampshire for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational, hosted by Dartmouth College, on Sept. 11.
The team will return to the site of their previous home meet for the Towson Alumni Invitational on Sept. 25.
To get things started in the month of October, the Tigers will compete in the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh. The meet will take place at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on the first of the month.
Two weeks later, on Oct. 16, the black & gold will travel to Princeton Invitation held at West Windsor Fields.
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship will take place on Oct. 30. The conference event will be hosted by Northeastern at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
Towson will have the opportunity to return to Goodman Stadium for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Nov. 12 followed by the NCAA Cross Country Championships just eight days later. Florida State will host the national championship in Tallahassee, Florida.
