RICHMOND, Va. – For the first time in conference history, the championship game of the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Basketball Championship presented by Primis will be nationally televised. The game will air on CBS Sports Network at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 12 from SECU Arena.
"We are excited to be able to showcase the CAA Women's Basketball Championship game in front of a national television audience on CBS Sports Network," CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio said. "We would like to thank our partners at CBS Sports for their assistance in making this a reality and cannot wait to promote the quality of our women's basketball programs."
Last season the Tigers were knocked out in the CAA Semifinal against Delaware on two late free throws from Tyi Skinner. Towson finished last season third in the conference with a 14-4 CAA record and a 24-8 overall record.
The Tigers start their season against Longwood on Saturday, Nov.12 at 7:00 p.m. at SECU Arena.
