Towson, Md.- Towson University Tigers tennis team picked up three wins this afternoon. The Tigers will wrap up the Fall Tiger Classic tomorrow with a 10:30 a.m. match against Saint Joseph's and a 2:30 p.m. match against Mount St. Mary's.
"The results weren't what we wanted today, but we improved on our competitiveness from this morning match, which was really important" said Head Coach
Jamie Peterson. "We need to continue to work on being mentally strong."
Day Two ResultsÂ
Singles vs Hampton
Sarah Pospischill fell to Angelina Blinova 3-6, 3-6.
Olivia Rothfeld beat Sofia Sokolova in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
Sissi Axelsson was defeated by Diana Starodubtseva 2-6, 2-6.
Erin Gray went against Zoe Walker and fell 1-6, 5-7.
Doubles vs Hampton

Jessica Assenmacher dropped their match to Mio Kozaki/Lucia Jorrin Fernandez 2-6, 4-6.
Singles vs Morgan State
Pospischill battled against Morgan State's Mitchell, dropping the first set 4-6, then winning the second set 6-4 but losing the tiebreaker 5-10.
Rothfeld came away with victorious against Morgan State 6-2, 5-7, 10-3.
Sania Suchinsky fell against Hill in their match 5-7, 2-6.
Doubles vs Morgan State

Sissi Axelsson dropped the first set 0-6 but won the second set 6-1. In the tiebreaker, the duo fell 3-10 to Morgan State.
