TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's swimming and diving program defeated William & Mary 163-131 Saturday afternoon at Burdick Pool.
 
The men's team beat the Tribe 216-77.

How it happened:
 
On the Women's Side

• Freshman Shannon Parrau won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives once again, with final scores of 221.48 and 239.55, respectively.
• The 200-yard medley relay team of Ally Frame, Tiffany Matulis, Hailey Ritter and Maddie Mince took first place, clocking in at 1:44.82.
• Bridget Thomas finished at 10:36.24 in the 1000 free, good for second.
• In the 200-yard freestyle, Ava Enriquez(1:55.51), Victoria Dichak(1:56.41) and Thomas(1:56.49) finished one, three, four to score big for the Tigers.
• Frame and Janine Murphy finished first and second in the 100 back, clocking in at 57.49 and 58.81, respectively.
• Mince and Schulz took second and third in the 50 free, with times of 24.46 and 24.60.
• Katie Nunez(52.42), Ava Enriquez(52.80) and Parker Schulz(53.45) finished two, three, four in the 100 free.
• Frame, Madison Neal, Maddie Frick and Janine Murphy finished in the top four spots in the 200 back.
• The 400 free relay of Dichak, Schulz, Mince and Enriquez capped off the meet with a resounding win, clocking in at 3:31.84, finished more than two and a half seconds ahead of the next finishers.

 
For the men:

• Evan Bota, Noah Diacumakos, Brian Benzing and Michael Fazio won the 200 free relay with a time of 1:31.10.
• The Tigers swept the 200-yard freestyle by way of Fazio(1:44.32), David Walton(1:45.06) and Brendan Farrar(1:45.19).
• Bota finished with a time of 52.11 to take the 100-yard backstroke.
• Patrick Flint won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 57.16. Noah Diacumakos followed in second with a time of 57.51, and Tanner Fatta finished in fifth(59.43) to score for the Tigers.
• Benzing set the 8^th fastest 50-yard freestyle time in Towson history, clocking in at 20.44 to take first. Both he(20.09) and teammate Michael Fazio(19.82) hold faster 50 times from last season. Daniel McLaughlin(21.27, second) and Trey Adkins(21.62, fourth) also scored in the event.
• Fazio(45.58), Adkins(47.42) and McLaughlin(47.60) swept the top three spots in the 100 free. TJ Bearor finished fourth(48.19).
• In the 200 back, Ian Hewett, Reed Sells and Aiden Rooney finished one, two, four.
• Towson swept the podium in the 200 breast by way of Noah Diacumakos, Julian Maycock and Tanner Fatta.
• Ryan Bookstein took first place in the 500 free, clocking in at 4:47.01.
• Benzing followed that performance with a 48.01 in the 100-yard butterfly, good for 6^th-fastest in program history. He now holds three of the top 10 100-yard butterfly times in Towson's history.
• The crew of Drew Munson, David Walton, Blakely Dean and TJ Bearor finished the meet with a victory for the men, clocking in at 3:11.24.

 
"Today was a total team effort. The divers started us off great and we carried the momentum to the end. We saw a lot of good things and some areas that we can improve on as we work towards next weekend's invitational," said head coach Anthony Bruno.
 
Next Time Out:
Both the men's and women's programs will travel across town next weekend for the Thomas Murphy Invite, hosted by Loyola, from Oct. 28-30. Prelims start at 10 a.m. each day. Friday and Saturday's finals will take place at 5 p.m., while Sunday's begin at 4 p.m.
