TOWSON, Md. – Towson University softball head coach
Lisa Costello announced four signees for the 2024 season during national signing day. All four newcomers will join the team for the 2024 season.
"We are so excited to have these talented student-athletes take the next step in their careers at Towson. We are looking forward to witnessing their future successes on field, in the classroom and in our community," Costello said of her incoming class.
Tori Duval | Infielder | 5-5 | Columbia, Tenn./Columbia Academy
Duval will join the Tigers from Columbia Academy in Tennessee. She has helped lead her team to three state championships while earning All-State and All-Region honors twice. Duval is a member of the National Honor Society and has also lettered in volleyball and bowling where she was top 12 in the state and earned All-District honors twice.
Taylor Broadbent | Pitcher/3B | 5-6 | Jefferson, Md./Middletown
Broadbent comes to Towson from Middletown High School in Frederick County. While at Middletown, Broadbent was named Frederick News Post First Team All-County, First Team CMC-Gambrill and Frederick News Post Athlete of the Week in 2022. During the 2022 season she hit .550 with seven home runs, 29 RBIs and had a 1.72 ERA with 103 strikeouts in the circle. Broadbent is a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Social Studies National Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, and SGA. She also played volleyball at Middletown where her team earned USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award in 2019.
Sequoia Dunlap | Infielder/Catcher | 5-7 | Uniontown, Pa./Uniontown Area
Dunlap comes to Towson from Uniontown, Pa., and Uniontown Area High School. Dunlap is a three-time All-American/Select 30 honoree. She is averaging .533 at the plate with a .641 OBP and a 2.008 OPS. She owns the single season record for home runs while also playing volleyball at Uniontown. Off the field she is a two-year member of the National Honor Society and has earned the highest honor roll three times.
Amanda Medina | Pitcher/1B | 5-6 | Millington, N.J./Watchung Hills Regional
Medina brings a winning pedigree to Towson after helping Watchung Hills Regional win the Group 4 State Championship in 2022. During that season she had a 0.87 ERA with 178 strikeouts in 128.2 innings. She was named Skyland Conference Delaware Division All-Conference First Team in both 2021 and 2022 as well as Courier News All-Area First Team and All Group 4 Second Team in 2021.
