TOWSON, Md. – Towson University redshirt junior guard Kylie Kornegay-Lucas was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Kornegay-Lucas filled up the stat sheet in Towson's 83-72 win against Longwood in its season opener on Saturday night. The redshirt junior from Camden, Del. had 29 points, the most points in a season opener for Towson since 2016-17, on 68.8% shooting, including three of four from three-point range. She totaled nine rebounds, seven assists, career-high five blocks and three steals. Kornegay-Lucas also made a career-high 11 field goals.
The Tigers will hit the road for a five-game road trip starting with Saint Francis U on Saturday, Nov. 19th in Loretto, Pa. at 7:00 p.m.
