TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's basketball will welcome Anaiah Jenkins and Caydence Hadley next season, Head Coach
Laura Harper announced Wednesday. The pair make up Coach Harper's first signing class since arriving at Towson in April.
Anaiah Jenkins (Odenton, MD) is ranked No. 9 in the state of Maryland, according to ASGR Media. She currently plays high school basketball at McDonogh High School, where the women's basketball team enters the 2022-2023 season as the reigning IAAM A Conference Champions. "We are ecstatic to welcome local talent in Anaiah," Harper said, "Her rebounding and tenacity for the game will fit in perfectly with our style of play. We really struck gold in keeping Anaiah home."
Caydence Hadley (Rochester, NY) currently plays at Bishop Kearney High School. Last season Hadley led Bishop Kearney to wins in both the Class AA Section 5 title game and state championship game, scoring 15 points. The victory was Bishop Kearney's second state championship in school history. Hadley played AAU basketball with I-90 Elite.
"We are excited to welcome Caydence to the Towson women's basketball family," Harper said, "Her length, versatility, and ability to shoot the three make for a successful future here at Towson."
