TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University athletics department officially introduced
Pete Shinnick as the new head football coach at a press conference on Wednesday morning.

Shinnick was announced as Towson head football coach on Sunday, Dec. 11. The two-time DII Coach of the Year was previously at West Florida, leading the Argos to be the 2019 NCAA Champion and 2017 NCAA runner-up. He has a career head coaching record of 159-67, including leading West Florida, UNC Pembroke and Azusa Pacific.
Shinnick is the fifth head coach in Towson football history. The 2023 season opens Saturday, Sept. 2 at the University of Maryland.
