TOWSON, Md. – Towson University head coach
Pete Shinnick has announced the addition of
Levern Belin to the coaching staff.
He will join the assistant coaching staff which includes
Darian Dulin (defensive coordinator/defensive backs),
Alex Krutsch (special teams coordinator/outside linebackers),
Brian Sheppard (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks),
Britt Myers (recruiting coordinator/inside linebackers),
Almondo Curry (cornerbacks),
Alex Kolt (offensive line) and
Tyson Wachenheim (tight ends).

Levern Belin – Defensive Line
After being at Shepherd this past year, Belin returns to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) after having a long tenure at each Delaware (2017-21) and Richmond (2012-16). He has been a collegiate coach for 31 years, working primarily with defensive line.
Belin was the defensive line coach for a Shepherd team which made a run to the NCAA DII semifinals with a 13-2 record. Each Delaware and Richmond had multiple FCS playoff appearances and combined for three CAA titles during his time at each school, including having the CAA sack leader in spring 2021.
A former linebacker at Wake Forest, Belin has earned a long coaching career, including stops at Delaware, Richmond, Liberty (2009-11), Virginia (2005-08), Northern Illinois (2004), William & Mary (2001-03), Maryland (1999-2000), Ball State (1994-98), East Tennessee State (1993) and Boston College (1991-92). He graduated from Wake Forest in 1991.
