Dorner WIns 3-Meter at Last Chance Meet

NEWARK, Del. – The final event of the 2022 regular season is in the books for the Towson University men's swimming and diving team as the Tiger divers made the quick drive to Newark, Delaware for a Last Chance Meet, hosted by the University of Delaware.

It was a rematch of last week's regular season dual finale, with just the Tigers and Blue Hens diving at Rawstrom Natatorium on Saturday.

How it Happened
  • Ajani Dorner finished second on the 1-meter board, scoring 228.00 points. 
  • Freshman Luke Gallagher was third with a 191.85 on the low board.
  • Delaware's Phillip Townsend won the 1-meter dive, scoring a 292.80.
  • Dorner picked up the win on the 3-meter side, scoring 278.03 points, winning by 14 points over Townsend's 264.83.
  • Gallagher was third on the 3-meter side with 178.13 points.
Up next for Towson
  • It's Championship or bust for the Tigers as Towson is idle until mid-February.
  • The Tigers make their way to Christiansburg, Virginia for the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship meet, hosted at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
  • Action is set to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 16 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 19.
