TOWSON, Md. – Towson University men's basketball head coach
Pat Skerry has been named a finalist for the 2022 Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award.
The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award honors those who not only achieve success on the basketball court but who display moral integrity off the floor as well.
Skerry is also a finalist for the 2022 Hugh Dunham Award for top mid-major coach in men's Division I college basketball.
On the floor, Towson earned its first-ever Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) regular season title and a 25-victory season, the winningest season in program history. Towson earned a berth into the 2022 National Invitation Tournament for the first time in school history.
Off the court, Skerry is a strong member of the Towson community. He supports causes including Autism Awareness, Eracism plus Equity and Inclusion among others. Towson players and staff wore jerseys, shirts and pins to support these initiatives during games this season.
The 2022 Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award will be announced on April 1 in New Orleans.
