TOWSON, Md. — The Towson University women's tennis team will play its first home outdoor match of the season at the Tiger Tennis Complex on Friday, March 25 against Hofstra.
The match will be the third Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) contest in a row for the Tigers and their first at home. The match will also be the first of six consecutive home contests for the team.

Last Time Out
Towson fell to Charleston on the road, 7-0.
The Tigers fought in all three doubles matches but the Cougars ultimately emerged with the point to start the match.
Sarah Pospischill (No. 4) and Olivia Rothfeld (No. 6) each took a set in their singles matches, but it wasn't enough as CofC came away with victories on all six courts to secure the 7-0 win.
Fall 2021 Recap
Towson had a solid fall season, competing in four tournaments. Themis Haliou led the way to start off the fall, winning the B Flight at Maryland's Bedford Cup. Sarah Pospischill also placed second in her flight at the tournament. Haliou and Jessica Assenmacher then followed up with a strong doubles performance at ITA's, advancing to the round of 16. At Navy's Blue & Gold Invitational, Pospischill and Lea Kosanovic each advanced to the finals in their respective consolation flight.
The Tigers ended the season with the Fall Tiger Classic, where the team amassed 15 singles wins. Olivia Rothfeld went 3-0 over the weekend to lead the team.
New Faces
In addition to the nine returners, head coach Jamie Peterson welcomed three new student-athletes to the team in the fall. Freshmen Sissi Axelsson and Nadeen Shrebati both joined the squad from Sweden and Australia, respectively. Sophomore Olivia Rothfeld also transferred in from Georgia Southern. Katie Twelves also joined the team for the spring season from the University of Leeds in England.
Scouting The Pride
Hofstra has dropped its last two matches to both Delaware (0-7) and Quinnipiac (5-2). The Pride's only win of the season came against Marist on Feb. 27, 4-2. They are 0-4 on the road.

Up next, the Tigers are scheduled to host a doubleheader on Sunday, April 3 against Coppin State (10 a.m.) and Georgetown (3 p.m.).
