BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Both Hayley Horvath and Kayla Thorpe of the Towson University track & field team completed their time at the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Thursday afternoon. Both student-athletes ended their seasons with top-25 finishes against the top competitors in the East Region.  
 
How it Happened 

• In her second consecutive season to qualify for the meet, Horvath placed 13th in the pole vault with a season-best mark of 4.21 meters. 
• Thorpe took 22nd in the javelin with a throw of 48.09 meters.
