TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University athletics department is proud to be set to announce the Tiger Title IX 50
th Anniversary Team in celebration with the NCAA celebration of the 50

Title IX was signed into federal law on June 23, 1972, prohibiting institutions from discrimination against students based on sex. This federal law led to vast expansion of women's sports throughout the NCAA institutions.

We've made tremendous progress in gender equity over the last 50 years because of and for these women which continues to propel our success into the future."
"I also want to thank Pete Schlehr, Janet Kines, Mike Gathagan, Dave Vatz, John Stark, Erin Neri and Lauren Hoskins for all of their hard work to make this recognition possible."
