Jeter Inks Pro Contract with E-Work Faenza in Italy

TOWSON, Md. — Former Towson women's basketball player Kionna Jeter has signed with E-Work Faenza (A-1) to play professional basketball in Italy.

"After taking some time off, I'm excited to start a new adventure in Italy," Jeter said. "I'm thankful for the opportunity, and I can't wait to get there and work!"

Jeter donned the Black & Gold for three seasons after transferring from Gulf State Coast College. During her time at Towson, the guard became the first player in program history to be a first team All-CAA selection three seasons in a row, in addition to being named the 2020-21 CAA Preseason Player of the Year. She finished her redshirt senior season in 2020-21 averaging 23.0 points to rank top-10 in the nation. Jeter scored in double figures 75 times in 83 career games on her way to recording 1,582 points to rank third overall on the Tigers' all-time scoring list.

The Spartanburg, S.C. product became the first player in program history to be selected in the WNBA Draft. She was chosen 36th overall by the Las Vegas Aces. Jeter had also previously signed with Embutidos Pajariel Bembibre P.D.M. in Spain.

Faenza finished 10th in the Serie A-1 standings last season with an 8-18 overall mark.

Jeter will be joining Nukiya Mayo, who is in her third year of playing professionally overseas and just signed with Montbrison Feminines BC (LF2) in France. Two other alumna, Tanisha McTiller and Dominique Johnson, have both retired from playing overseas.
