TOWSON, Md. – Towson women's soccer junior forward
Nia Christopher was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Christopher earned the award after a strong week that included a five-goal game against Delaware State last Tuesday. It is the first weekly award for Christopher this season and second of her career.
The Bermuda native had a single-game record five goals against Delaware State on September 13. Her performance moved her into sixth all-time in career goals with 22. Christopher is third in the nation in total goals with eight and second in total points with 18.
Towson will begin CAA play against conference newcomer Monmouth on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. at Tiger Field.
