Towson, Md. – Towson University outside hitter
Nina Cajic was named GameChanger/AVCA National Division I Women's VB Player of the Week announced by the AVCA on Tuesday afternoon. Cajic was also named CAA Offensive Player of the Week by the league yesterday.
Towson is one of four teams that remain undefeated and is the only team that is 14-0 in the country.
This is the first time a player from Towson was won this award in program history.
The junior from Subotica, Serbia earned the honor by totaling 32 kills and having a .698 hit percentage with only two errors in two sweeps against Stony Brook. In Saturday's match, she had 14 kills on a .737 hit percentage, then followed with a season-high 18 kills, including the last four points in Sunday's win against Stony Brook. Cajic has totaled double digit kills in eight matches this season, including the last three matches.
Towson hosts North Carolina A&T in SECU Arena on Oct.1-2 at 1 p.m.
