TOWSON, Md. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced the Academic All-District® Team for the 2025 volleyball season. Towson University players
Sydney Stewart,
Ella Sanders, Alexa Mork, and
Kaitlyn Moran were each named to the team.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic nomination criteria require honorees to have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or greater. Athletically, student-athletes must compete in 90% or more of the institution's matches or start in at least 66% of them.
A three-time CSC Academic All-District® honoree,
Stewart was named the CAA Libero of the Year after finishing second among league leaders with 525 digs, averaging 4.82 per set. The Elizabethtown native earned three-consecutive CAA Defensive Player of the Week awards from Sept. 22—Oct. 6 and was a second team all-conference selection.
Stewart's 525 digs this season ranks fifth all-time in Towson single season history. A senior, she is a physical education major.
Stewart was selected as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-America
® Team, which will be announced in January.
Sanders was named to the All-CAA Second Team after pacing the Tigers with 316 kills on the season, averaging 3.04 per set. The New Mexico product's per set average ranked seventh in the conference and her 3.49 points per set ranked eighth. She hit at a .225 mark on the season and added 224 digs, 45 blocks, 24 service aces and 12 assists. A redshirt sophomore,
Sanders is majoring in information technology.
Mork appeared in 60 sets across 26 matches this season, totaling 48 digs, four assists and three service aces. A sophomore,
Mork is an exercise science major.
Moran played in 67 sets across 26 matches, recording 301 assists at a 4.49 per set average. Moran added 97 digs, 13 aces, 13 kills and three block assists. A sophomore,
Moran is majoring in sport management.
