Towson Gymnastics Releases 2024 Schedule, Season Tickets Now On Sale

TOWSON, Md. – Reigning 2023 East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Champions Towson University have officially released the 2024 campaign.

Returning for the Tigers are several prominent competitors who have helped the team make three consecutive NCAA Regional Appearances as well as capture a conference championship title for the first time in program history. Of the upperclassmen Camille Vitoff (vault) and Grace Vaillancourt (bars) earned First Team All-EAGL honors while Steph Macasu (bars), Clara Hong (bars) and Lauren Keener (bars) were named to Second Team All-EAGL. Standout freshmen Polina Belanovski (vault) and Isabella Minervini (bars) picked up First Team All-EAGL honors while Carmella Calafati (floor) was named to second team.

Head coach Jay Ramirez returns for his fifth year with the team alongside associate head coach Ashley Sauer, who was promoted from assistant coach prior to the 2023 season. Jasmine Kauffman enters her second year as volunteer assistant coach.

The Tigers are set to host five competitions at the TU Arena consisting of two dual meets, one tri meet and one quint meet along with EAGL Championships.

Towson will get a preview of the season at the Black & Gold intrasquad meet on Jan. 9 at 3 p.m.

The 2024 campaign officially kicks off in the Midwest as Ohio State University hosts Towson and Ball State on Jan. 14 at the Covelli Center for a tri meet.

A week later the team heads to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a dual meet with EAGL foe Temple on Jan. 21.

Towson's home opener will be a quint meet on Jan. 26 with EAGL members Long Island University, George Washington (GW) and University of New Hampshire (UNH) as well as the Ivy League's Cornell University. The Black & Gold welcome the five teams for a 6 p.m. start time.

The Tigers stay local for their fourth meet of the season, competing against GW, University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) and William & Mary (W&M) on Feb. 2 at the Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Towson will take a trip out west two days later, facing University of Denver on Feb. 4 in a dual meet at the Magness Arena in Denver, Colorado.

The team heads to University of New Hampshire for a tri meet with Brown on Feb. 11.

On Feb. 16 the Tigers take a trip down to Washington D.C. for another quint meet hosted by GW at the Charles E. Smith Center with Kent State, W&M and UNH.

Towson closes out February with the second home meet of the season, hosting Temple on the 23rd at 6 p.m.

The Black & Gold open the month of March with the last team they faced during the 2023 season, Penn State. The Nittany Lions host the Tigers along with Ball State and West Virginia on March 1.

The team has a quick turnaround as it heads to Morgantown for a quad meet hosted by West Virginia University on March 3 with Western Michigan and Pitt.

The Tigers have back-to-back home meets on March 10 and 15 at TU Arena. On the 10th the Black & Gold host Maryland at 1 p.m. while on the 15th GW and W&M will travel to Towson for a 6 p.m. meet.

Towson ends the regular season in the Nation's Capital at a tri meet hosted by GW with Maryland on March 17.

The Tigers will look to capture their second consecutive championship title at home on March 23rd at the 2024 EAGL Championship meet. LIU, Temple, UNH and GW head to TU Arena for a 4 p.m. start time.

NCAA Regionals take place from April 4-6 with host locations at Arkansas, Cal, Florida and Michigan. The selection show will be aired at a later date.

The 2024 NCAA National Championship is scheduled for April 19-20 at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
