Philadelphia, PA – The Towson University track & field team is set to begin the 2023 outdoor season, starting with the Penn Challenge on March 18.

Field: Towson will compete against Army, Bucknell, Cornell, LaSalle, Lehigh, Penn, Penn State, Princeton and Villanova
Start Times: Throwing events start at 11:00 a.m. with the women's discus. Jumping events start with the men's pole vault (followed by women's) at 11:30 a.m. Running events start at 1:00 p.m. with the 4x100m relay.

Indoor Recap
The Black & Gold had quite a successful indoor season as over 20 top-10 all-time performances were recorded.
Towson's highest finish was at the Gulden Invite, where the Tigers placed second out of eight teams after earning 109 points.

Leeann Redlo,
Manie Mevo and
Fatimah Owens picked up gold medals in their respective events. Mevo was awarded field event MVP for her performances.
Graduate student
Beighley Ayers became the fourth Towson runner to break 10:00 in the 3K after running a 9:57.28 at the National Open hosted by Penn State.
At the first Indoor CAA Championships,
Fatimah Owens,
Cristal Cuervo and
Aliyah Anderson made their way onto the podium. Owens placed third in the weight throw after throwing a PR of 18.61 meters. Cuervo earned a bronze medal as well, placing third in the 200-meter with a PR of 24.31. Anderson finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.64 meters, which was only .01 off of her PR. Overall Towson finished tied for sixth, earning 51 points.
At ECACs freshman
Leeann Redlo won the high jump with a new PR of 1.75 meters, moving up to second all-time in Towson history.
Fatimah Owens made her way onto the podium as well, placing third after throwing a PR of 19.15 meters in the weight throw.
