TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swimmer Brian Benzing finished 48^th overall in the preliminary heats of the 200-yard individual medley Thursday morning with a 1:45.45 at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. That time did not qualify for the night's finals session in the event.

Benzing, who is seeded 7^th overall in the event with a time of 51.25 from the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship last month, will compete in the 100 yard-breaststroke tomorrow at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center with preliminary heats starting at 11 a.m. Eastern. The top 16 times in preliminary heats will advance to the night's finals session, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern.
