Track & Field Breaks 4x200 Program Record at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, PA – The Towson University track & field team wrapped up it's time in Philadelphia Friday evening after competing in the first two days of the 127th annual Penn Relays.

Georgia Coleman opened up the meet on Thursday afternoon, tossing a season best mark of 58.22m in the College Women's Hammer Throw Championship which falls in fifth on the top-10 all-time list.

Cristal Cuervo, Maya Tucker, Sydney Tucker and Ty'Liyah Hannah ran a school record time of 1:38.49 in the College Women's 4x200 Championship of America on Friday morning, winning their heat. 

Fatimah Owens competed in the discus throw.

The Tigers are now entering championship season as the team is set for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship on May 5 and 6 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
