TOWSON, Md. – Towson University men's basketball will host Massachusetts on Dec. 6 as part of their 2023-24 non-conference schedule, the team announced on Tuesday. The Tigers and Minutemen will be playing the second half of a home-and-home series after the two squared off in Amherst last season. Tip-off time and streaming will be announced later.
Tiger fans can take advantage of an ongoing promotion that features two tickets for the game against the Minutemen and two tickets for the football home opener against Monmouth on September 9. The ticket package is just $76 and will run through the Fourth of July. For more information or to purchase tickets, interested parties can call the ticket office at 410-704-3330 or email

"Playing a team the caliber of Massachusetts, rich with tradition and coached by Frank Martin who has been to a Final Four is a great opportunity for our team and our fans. We need SECU Arena rocking for a great night of non-conference hoops in December," Towson head coach
Pat Skerry said of the matchup.
Last season the Tigers defeated the Minutemen 67-55 in Amherst last November, part of five-game winning streak to open the season.
Nicolas Timberlake led the way with a then career-high 27 points with
Cam Holden chipping in a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double. It was the first win for the Tigers against Massachusetts in three tries.
Towson is coming off its second straight 20-win season that saw the Tigers reach the semifinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Championships. The Tigers return key pieces from last season's team including graduate forward
Charles Thompson and sophomores
Ryan Conway and
Christian May.
