WESTFIELD, N.J. – The Towson University Men's Golf team completed the final round of the Georgetown Invitational and of the fall schedule today. The Tigers finished the tournament in 8
th place after shooting rounds of 300-301-301=902(+50).
Princeton won the tournament finishing with a total of 7-over par, 859, Princeton's William Huang won the individual competition shooting 65-70-70=205(-8), he was the only golfer to finish the tournament under par.
Ariihau Faana was Towson's standout performer of the tournament finishing in 5
th individually with rounds of 68-73-76=217. He was the only Tiger to finish a round under par for the tournament. Faana also eagled the 11
th hole during the second round.
Sky Aung placed in 29
th individually finishing 13-over par with rounds of 77-73-76=226. Aung never shot worse than a bogey for the final 36 holes of the tournament.
Michael Matheson (77-78-74=229) shot the best third round of any Towson golfer, he jumped six spots in the individual standings by the end of the final round.
Joshua Galindo (78-77-80=235) and
Matthew Gonnello (78-82-75=235) both finished the tournament tied for 52
nd. Galindo eagled the 11
th hole during the second round. Gonnello notched the second best third round score for Towson and jumped five spots individually during the final round.
