TOWSON, Md. – After spending two years at the University of Virginia then playing two seasons at Northeastern where she earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Sixth Player of the Year honors and graduated cum laude,
Deja Bristol has brought a level of dependability to the Towson University women's basketball team this season, ranking third on the team in scoring – while shooting nearly 60 percent from the field – and is second in rebounding.
Even though she comes from a basketball family - her father, Wayne, played 100 games at the University of Maryland in the early 1990's and her older brother currently plays at Hampton after stints at Howard and Georgetown, Deja did not play organized basketball until her first year of high school.
Bristol and her teammates will wrap up non-conference play on Sunday, December 29 versus Columbia at TU Arena.
