TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's basketball player
Khady Leye has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
The freshman forward averaged 12.5 points and 7 rebounds per game in the Tigers' two games of the Puerto Rico Clásico, adding one block over the weekend. In Towson's win over Youngstown State, Leye had a career-high 19 points off the bench on 9-13 shooting.
This is Leye's first career rookie of the week award. It is the Tigers' first honoree since Allie Kubek was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Dec. 7, 2020.
