NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Towson University track & field team completed day one of the indoor Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship in seventh place after accumulating 15 points.
Northeastern currently sits in first place, closely followed by Elon in second. College of Charleston rounded out the podium in third place.
How it Happened
Leeann Redlo set a new PR in her pentathlon, earning 3441 points for a fourth-place finish. She started off clocking a 9.09 in the 60m hurdles and followed up with a 1.70m mark in the high jump. Redlo tossed a PR of 8.77m in the shot put and earned a PR of 5.53m in the long jump. She concluded the event with a time of 2:43.15 in the 800m.
Manie Mevo achieved a new PR of 5.81m in the long jump, placing fifth overall. Her mark ranks second in the top-10 all-time list.
Morgan Lane broke nine seconds in the 60m hurdles, running a PR of 8.96.
Cristal Cuervo ran the fastest 400m prelims time of the meet, clocking a 55.20. She is the top seed going into finals tomorrow.
Sydney Tucker posted Towson's top time in the 60m dash, clocking a PR of 7.54. She placed fourth overall, qualifying for finals.

Ty'Liyah Hannah clocked 7.58 and 7.68 respectively.
Freshman
Baara Stewart ran a PR of 2:17.08 in the 800m.
Every Tiger that ran the 200m set a new PR.
Cristal Cuervo made history, becoming the first Towson woman to break 24 seconds in the event. The junior set a new school record, clocking a 23.95 to claim the second spot going into finals.
Maya Tucker dropped over half a second in her race, setting a PR of 24.06 to place fourth which qualifies her for finals as well.
Sydney Tucker and
Ty'Liyah Hannah ran times of 24.74 and 24.76 respectively, both earning PRs.
Emma Vacca represented the distance squad as the lone Tiger in the 5000m. The freshman clocked a 12 second PR of 18:52.78 in her first conference championship race.
The distance medley relay closed out day one of the meet on a high note, resetting the school record in a time of 12:11.95. The squad of
Lexi Mogensen (3:41.11),
Satori Valentine (57.27),
Baara Stewart (2:18.51) and
Aubrey Schaffer (5:15.06) placed sixth overall.

Those who qualified for finals in the running events compete tomorrow. The field events consist of the women's shot put and triple jump. Additionally, the 4x800 and 4x400 relays will close out the meet.
