TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's lacrosse midfielder
Milana Zizakovic was selected to the final roster for the Canadian Women's National Box Lacrosse Team last week. Zizakovic was selected along with 47 athletes that range from national team players to current college players.
The final tryout will happen in St. Catharines, Ontario on July 2-3, 2024, with the championship taking place in Utica, New York on September 20-29, 2024.
Zizakovic leads the Tigers in goals and points with 11, scoring a hat trick in two of the three games this season. The junior midfielder is tied for fourth on the team in ground balls with three and is fifth in draw controls with three.
Last year, Zizakovic represented Team Canada in the Super Sixes Event. Canada won the gold medal over the Haudenosaunee 17-4. The Calgary, Alberta native scored two goals in the win.
The Tigers return to Tiger Field this Friday, March 1st at 6 p.m. against #16/16 USC. The game will be streamed on FloSports.
