UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Towson University gymnastics team battled hard at a Friday evening quad meet with #22 Penn State, #25 Ball State and West Virginia University. The Tigers put up their second-best score of the season and highest away score ever recorded, 196.775, which was good enough for second place. The Nittany Lions defended their home arena, securing the victory with a 196.825. Ball State placed third with a 195.875 while West Virginia took fourth after posting 195.800.
For the third time this season, Towson was able to log 49's on all four events, earning a season high 49.325 on vault which was the highest score out of all four teams. Five gymnast posted scores of 9.825 or better on the event, two of which were career highs. Additionally, the Tigers had a solid bars rotation as they recorded a 49.125, the highest team score of the meet on that event.
The Black & Gold secured three individual first place finishes across three events with scores of 9.900 or better.

Rotation One – Bars – 49.125
- Isabella Minervini logged her second highest score of the season, 9.950, for her sixth first place finish on the event.
- Grace Vaillancourt joined Minervini on the podium, placing second with a 9.875.
- Lauren Keener received a 9.800 to earn a top-10 finish.
Rotation Two – Beam – 49.075
Rotation Three – Floor – 49.250
Rotation Four – Vault – 49.325
- Elise Tisler picked up a new career high, sticking her landing for a 9.975. The junior received a perfect 10.0 from one judge, placing first overall. Her score goes down in Towson history as the second highest on the event, last achieved by a Towson gymnast in 2012.
- Felicia Poblete earned a new career high as well, posting a 9.875 which is a .075 improvement from her previous best.
- Jenna Weitz, Retoshia Halsell and Camille Vitoff logged 9.825's.
